Your Party's privacy policy
For the effective administration of the site(s), to protect against fraud and to give you a unique user experience, Your Party reserves the right to collect and store the following two categories of information about you:

Demographic Information: This is used in conjunction with voting and polling data and is vital in building a picture of our membership so that we can target new members. Demographic information such as date of birth, income and gender are stored with your Personal Profile and is used anonymously.

Browser Cookies: These are small text files, which are stored on your computer and can only be read by Your Partyís web servers. These cookies are used to recognise your computer from earlier visits, communicate your site history to the web servers and to make your browsing experience unique. Cookies do not contain any personally identifiable information about you and are used by most websites. You can still use the Your Party site(s) without accepting cookies, but some features may cease to function properly.

Full address details: These will be used for billing purposes including card payment authorisation and membership ID verification. Unless specified otherwise they may also be used by Your Party to communicate with you by post.

Credit/Debit card details: These will be used for the processing of payment and membership ID verification and may be held securely on file by Your Party or our Service Providers.

Phone Numbers: Unless specified otherwise these may be used by Your Party to communicate with you by voice or using SMS/MMS text messages. With your consent your mobile phone number may be used to obtain membership payment and ID verification via reverse billing services used by Your Party or our Service Providers.

Personal Profile data: You are responsible for the content of your Personal Profile. You should regard your profile data as being in the public domain and therefore accessible to anyone viewing the site unless specified otherwise.

Your Personal Voting Record: We understand that we hold very sensitive information about your political views. Your Party will never publish your personal voting record without your explicit consent. We will only hold your personal voting record for as long as is necessary to record votes and verify the authenticity of votes cast.

Forum Posts: Any comments you post are published solely on the understanding that they may be used and quoted elsewhere and in their original context. Wherever possible Your Party will endeavour to seek permission before making use of comments made in posts. The content of all messages, posts and transcripts are held on our systems for as long as you remain a member, or continue to make use of the site(s).

Proof of Identification: Where necessary we will ask you for additional proof of ID such as a photocopy of a passport, driverís licence or a recent utility bill to protect Your Party against electoral fraud. These will be held on file for as long as you remain a voting member.
Fair Usage Policy
In general, any information that you share with Your Party will only ever be used by Your Party and our Service Providers. It will never be passed or sold to anyone outside Your Party without first obtaining your consent unless we are obliged or permitted under law to disclose it. Whenever we ask you for information about your we will try to make clear why we require this data, whom we will share it with and what it will be used for. Where possible we will provide you with a way of customising your communication preferences with Your Party. We reserve the right to store information about you on our systems for long as it is required to provide the service that you have requested. Your information will be held securely in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Access to the personal data we hold about you
You have the right to request a copy of the personal information Your Party holds about you under the Subject Access request provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998. You also have a right to have any inaccuracies corrected. We can charge up to £10 for information requests, but will make every effort to waive this fee if your request can be dealt with easily by e-mail.
